Those of you that keep up with every sport like me, have heard of the David Ortiz jersey that was buried. It was buried by a construction worker (a Red Sox fan) in New York at the new Yankee stadium to curse it. Well they dug it up and made a big deal of it. It was kind of humorous though. It's been put up on Ebay and is going for $71 thousand dollars with one day left on the auction.
I couldn't believe that a $69 dollar jersey would go for that much, obviously somebody is not hurting by the high prices and pitiful economy. Then I found out a little more about the auction and saw that the proceeds are going to the Jimmy V cancer foundation.
So if someone is going to blow a wad of cash like that, charity would be a good thing to spend it on.
Maybe somebody should check the concrete outside of PNC Park, maybe someone buried a jersey to curse the Pirates. Probably not, they just stink!
