I saw a bumper sticker today. It read "Who would Jesus bomb?"
It really made me think of how Jesus really was an awesome Savior. I don't think he would bomb anybody. We really should think more like Jesus, including myself. I'm glad I saw this today.

I think its funny that you posted this today. In a collection of essay's entitled "Country Music Goes to War" one of my collegues found an article called "Jesus hits like an atom bomb." Since I am the resident "southern protestant" authority he brought it to me to see if I knew it. I looked at the title and was like "No way, we don't sing stuff like that!" Well, we looked it up online and it turns out that its the song a capella did at some point that goes "everybody's worried, about that atom bomb. But no one seems worried about the day my lord shall come..." You can find the rest yourself if that doesn't jog your memory enough. Needless to say I had to admit to knowing it after I started singing along. I did convince them that we did NOT sing it as part of worship though, so hopefully I maintained some credibility. Just thought I'd share, we both had experiences that relate to Jesus and violence, two things that do NOT go together.
That's funny. I remember that song, it was on one of their old tapes I had back in the late 80's. Yeah, I don't think we sing that in worship. People's outside thinking is funny. I'm glad you read this, it's nice to have comments. Funny thing is about the sticker I saw it was a an old clunker. It looked like it had been bombed.
