Memorial Day 2008

There has been 11,780,042 soldiers that have died since the American Revolutionary war. I sometimes wonder what those men and women could have accomplished in their lives had they not gone to war. We may have sent the person who might have cured cancer to war and they were killed and never got their turn to shine. But then I think what might the world be like if they hadn't gone to war and defended our freedom by doing their duty.
I'm not a war person and I never will be. I don't believe killing is the answer. Every Christian should feel that way that war is not the answer. But sometimes it is very necessary. It's a mixed emotion for everybody in our country and across the world. When it comes to evil leaders like Hitler there is no choice but to take him out of such a position.
I'm thankful for those who have served our country and defeated the realms of evil. They didn't have to do it, but their love for their country they had to do it.
Continue to pray for our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Whatever you feel about this war good or bad choice remember they are their because they feel a great duty for their country and their fellow Americans.
